4 Fun Places to Go Bowling in Nashville, Tennessee

For an intermission from the music scene, residents and tourists alike love to head to the many bowling alleys near Nashville, Tennessee, and play a few games. As they fill up quickly with fun-loving fans, there are many bowling alleys to choose from when the need for a game arises. Not all of these locations are made equal, however. To have the best gaming experience possible, people in Nashville TN should try out one of the following bowling locations.

Franklin Family Entertainment Center

People, young and old, enjoy the wide range of bowling activities available at the Franklin Family Entertainment Center. They have more than a dozen traditional bowling lanes along with several equipped with bumpers just for kids. At their weekly cosmic bowling events, they turn down the lights and crank up the music. Disco lights dance across the glow in the dark lanes as family and friends try to play a perfect game.

Beyond their open and cosmic bowling offerings, this location hosts league events for the community. Anyone can join the leagues or create their own with family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. The league events often have great incentives, like cash and merchandise prizes, to sweeten the pot. To get kids involved in bowling early in life, they have many youth programs, including their IncredaBOWL program where kids bowl for free all spring and summer long.

Pinewood Social

Pinewood Social takes it back to the old school with their six vintage lanes from a now-defunct Bowl O' Rama. Up to eight people can play on each lane at a time to maximize the fun for everyone. As a part of the vintage bowling experience, all guests have to keep their own scores. This can take a bit of getting used to for those who love the digital scoring experience.

With their limited space, this venue fills up fast, so it is wise to make a reservation to claim a lane. Otherwise, there will likely be a wait. Unlike other alleys, they switch it up by charging by the hour. They provide all balls and shoes without an extra fee. They also validate parking to save their customers a bit of cash on the way out.

Dave & Buster's

In addition to all their fun arcade games, Dave & Buster's has a fully-equipped bowling alley right on site. They offer traditional games and blacklight bowling matches all throughout the week. Music videos stream constantly on the wall of TVs to pump up the excitement. Visitors can take a break between games and order from the full menu of delicious food and drink options.

As this venue can get busy fast, many will elect to have an appetizer or meal while waiting for a lane to open up. Weekdays are usually much less busy, and on Wednesdays, they offer bowling games at half price.

Donelson Bowling Center

Donelson Bowling Center has been an entertainment staple in this region since the 1960s. They are well-known for their fair prices, welcoming atmosphere and fun games. While doing all they can to retain their 60s vibe, they have accelerated a bit into the future by putting the scores on TV screens. As a nod to the past, they have left a single manual scoring station in place for visitors to marvel over. They do not have all the bells and whistles found at other bowling locations, but they do offer a priceless old school atmosphere.

Visitors can boost their fun by playing their favorite songs on the jukebox using their proprietary app. Many arcade games are also available to keep everyone having a great time throughout each visit.

People across Nashville, Tennessee, can visit these bowling alleys any time they want to have fun with friends, family and others in their community. With so many options available, it is easy to find a favorite bowling venue in this region.
