Franklin is one of the most sought-after places to live and buy a home in the Nashville metro area. The housing market is the choice for many people who want to get away from it all while living in a luxurious Franklin neighborhood, but you can also find a lot of rural areas and affordable neighborhoods here, too. The median sale price for homes in Franklin, taken from numbers gathered from April of 2015 to July 2015 was $387,000. The home prices increased around $10,000 when you look at the previous quarter for an increase of 2.7%. When you look at the numbers gathered the previous year, the home prices increased more than 10%. The average price per square foot for homes in these zip codes (37064, 37067, 37069) was $159, which is about half a percent higher than the average square foot price of the homes in the immediate area.
A home buyer can find Franklin townhouses and condos starting at about $160,000 and the starting price for single-family units when you exclude foreclosures and auctions is about $199,000. Franklin is a great area to live in, and even though there is demand for the homes here, there are still some great places available that are wholly affordable. The selection of condominiums and townhouses is somewhat limited compared to other areas, however.
