Things to Do in July in Nashville TN

Nashville goes into party mode during the summer months, which gets its residents out into the streets and its visitors flocking to Music City from all corners of the country. From patriotic celebrations to music-filled festivals, there's always something to do and delicious food to enjoy.

These are the best July events taking place in Nashville this year:

Let Freedom Sing! July 4th in Music City

Nashville has earned a reputation for having one of the best patriotic parties to celebrate Independence Day. The city hosts a free event downtown on July 4, where attendees can enjoy food, live music and of course fireworks at the end of the night. Let Freedom Sing! is a family-friendly event event that takes place all day, and includes activities such as water slides, games and climbing walls. The live music is the perfect complement to the party, and this year's lineup includes performers such as Brett Eldredge, Jessy Wilson, Mac McAnally and Dylan Scott. As darkness settles over Nashville, the night is completed with a performance by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and a synchronized fireworks display designed to wow people of all ages.

2019 Nashville Soul Music Festival

Those who love soul music won't want to miss this annual summer event in Nashville. The 2019 Nashville Soul Music Festival will take place all day on July 6 at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Tickets must be purchased in advance for this adults-only event. In addition to having the opportunity to enjoy top notch soul performers throughout the event, there also will be a marketplace for attendees to purchase apparel, music and other souvenirs. Interactive stations for games and activities will keep the event fun and lighthearted, and food vendors will be available to keep everyone hydrated and nourished.

Red, White & Zoo

Red, White & Zoo is the annual wine tasting event that has adults clamoring to get to their local zoo each summer. This year's event will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 26 at the Nashville Zoo. This event is reserved for adults over the age of 21, and tickets should be purchased in advance. Those who attend get to stroll through the zoo and talk to zookeepers at their exhibits before sundown, all while sipping on unlimited samples of wine and craft beer. There also will be live music and food available for purchase throughout the event.

18th Annual Music City Brewer's Festival

Beer loves from around the country have found the Music City Brewer's Festival to be one of the best beer festivals in the United States. This outdoor festival will take place all day on July 27 at Walk of Fame Park, and there will be more than 40 different brewers in attendance from local, state, national and international breweries. Festival organizers expect more than 5,000 people to be in attendance, so it's recommended that interested visitors purchase their tickets in advance. This event is reserved for those over the age of 21.

There's nothing better than sipping a craft beer as a summer afternoon passes by. There's something magical about watching Fourth of July fireworks with young children, whose eyes light up brighter than the fireworks themselves. There are memories to be made in Nashville this summer, and there are events and festivals scheduled for people of all ages and of all interests.
