Where Are the Best Dive Bars in Nashville?

Dive bars are notoriously known for cheap drinks in a casual atmosphere. These types of bars tend to be designated for the locals, and that concept rings true for residents of Nashville. There are so many tourists who frequently visit Nashville, that dive bars are a place for all the locals to hang out. Dive bars tend to be the unknown joints, but here is a list you can hit up to meet some of the locals in Nashville.

Santa's Pub - 2225 Bransford Avenue, Nashville

Of course, this name is not by mistake, as the bartender here looks like Santa himself. Plus, this pub stays jolly all year around by heavily decorating with Christmas decor. You will find the building painted with a mural of multiple Santas, and the front door has a beautiful Christmas wreath in place. You will find karaoke singers buzzing around the bar, and the smokers in the crowd tend to take over the front deck. Inflation never hurt the drink prices at Santas Pub, as you can get a beer for $2.

Dino's Restaurant - 411 Gallatin Avenue, Nashville

In East Nashville, you will find Dino's Bar and Grill. Dino's is rumored to be the oldest bar in east Nashville, and they offer comedy nights as well as bluegrass. They like to mix it up and keep the locals coming back for a cheap ice cold beer. Most people report that the food at Dino's is decent, but everyone comes here for a cheap drink anyways.

The Villager Tavern - 1719 21st Avenue South, Nashville

Located in Hillsboro Village, and is a more known dive bar as it has a prime location. This is definitely a local joint, as you will get a few looks if you're out of town. However, you can play some darts, and grab a pitcher of beer for $7 until 7pm Monday through Friday. At those prices, it's worth a few stares.
