Brentwood Homes for Sale
Brentwood, Tennessee is just a short 15 minute drive to Downtown Nashville, and contains some of the most desirable real estate in Tennessee. It's unusual in that it's city limits cover two counties that of Davidson and Williamson. Located in a prosperous region of Williamson County and adjacent to the southern boundary of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County, the Brentwood real estate market has a long history as an affluent community. Its fertile soils gave rise to an opulence that prompted the construction of big, stately homes—many of which were witness to civil war action.
After the war, many of the estates in Brentwood fell to ruin—owing largely to the costs of the war effort. But Brentwood was rediscovered in the early twentieth century and, especially with the construction of the Interstate in the 1960's, has regained its position as one of Tennessee's richest areas.
Brentwood is also home to some of Nashville's most prestigious and high profile residents from the world of country music. Trisha Yearwood lives here, as does Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Dolly Parton, and Keith Urban. Carrie Underwood is also a new resident of Brentwood, having recently purchased a luxury home in the area.
The city of Brentwood is unusual in that it is located in both Davidson County and Williamson County. The top tier school system of Williamson County makes this area very desirable for parents.
The city also shares some of the best retail outlets and restaurants with Cool Springs. This is where you'll find everything from upscale car companies like Jaguar, Volkswagen, and Mercedes, to the latest bestsellers at Barnes and Noble.
After all that shopping, you'll be able to satisfy your appetite by choosing from an impressive array of fine restaurants, which includes upscale chain restaurants like Macaroni Grill, and exclusive privately-owned dining establishments like Sperry's. Sperry’s opened its doors in Belle Meade in May of 1974 and now has a second location in the Cool Springs area, just south of Brentwood.
