About White House Real Estate
Real estate in White House, Tennessee has been booming since the city's incorporation in 1971. Young in formal terms but very old in terms of human use, this area north of Nashville was a notable stopover for buffalo and natives prior to modern settlement. White House takes its name from the large, white home built by an original settler, Richard Wilks, whose choice of hue was unusual for a house in the area at the time.
Today, White House houses 8,100 residents. There are a lot of amenities, especially for a small city - there are active parks, recreational programs and facilities, a variety of shopping, restaurants, and services, and a celebrated school system. The future of White House real estate looks promising, with a lot of attention paid to recreation, government, and culture. Don't miss the day-long Fourth of July celebration, the annual Fall Harvest Moon Festival, and the annual Christmas Parade.
