Chef Maneet Chauhan decided to open the restaurant in Nashville after visiting the city and loving it and its people. She now calls herself a “Nash-Yorker” and is proud to bring this new Indian restaurant to the North Gulch neighborhood.
The restaurant offers a modern feel with beautiful décor, Indian patterns all while giving you a pub-like feel. They’ve used the exposed brick to their advantage with offering a rustic feel among pops of color giving a contemporary and lively feeling. They plan to add a lounge area with comfortable furniture. They even want to add tables that are made for playing the traditional Indian game, Carrom, while you dine. You can choose from seating in the bar with high tops and bar stools, booths or tables.
Upon visiting Chauhan Ale & Masala House, you will enjoy Indian food and drinks from Mumbai and New Delhi with a tough of Nashville, southern influence. You’ll find pork belly, hot chicken, lamb and seafood on the menu. There are vegetarian options as well. The restaurant has noticed Nashville’s love for craft beer right now and has incorporated custom Indian spice-infused microbrews.
While the restaurant opened in November with dinner service only, they will quickly be adding weekday lunch and weekend brunch.
Check it out at 123 12th Avenue North in Nashville.
