The holiday season is beginning with fall and Halloween, which means downtown Franklin is proud to announce the upcoming holiday events coming to the area. Bring the family downtown for the upcoming Pumpkinfest, Wine Down Main Street and Dickens of a Christmas from October through December. Here is what to expect at these events.

Pumpkinfest

October 25th will be the 31st Annual Pumpkinfest in downtown Franklin. From 10am – 8pm you’ll enjoy a free day of family activities. Main Street from First Avenue to Fifth Avenue will be the location for this event. You can also find some of the activities at Third and Fourth Avenues.

The Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County is sponsoring the event where you can enjoy:

  • Live music from bluegrass bands and choirs
  • Battle of the Bands
  • Chili Cook-off
  • Swing dancing
  • Children’s area for train and pony rides, games, and inflatables
  • Pumpkin carving contest
  • Costume contests for pets and people
  • Food vendors

The event is going to be great for families of all ages.

Wine Down Main Street

Once Halloween’s over, it’s time for Wine Down Main Street. On Saturday, November 1st  you can come help a great cause while tasting over 120 wines. The proceeds for this fundraiser will go to the Middle Tennessee Boys & Girls Clubs in Williamson and Davidson Counties.

Tickets for the event will cost $85. There will be 32 pouring stations inside stores on Main Street and you’ll even get to taste food from over 20 restaurants. You’ll get to enjoy live music along Main Street and receive a souvenir wine glass.

Dickens of a Christmas

This December 13th-14th, get ready for the Christmas seasons with Dickens of a Christmas. For the 30th year in a row, Dickens of a Christmas will be in historic downtown Franklin. It’s a free holiday festival including vendors, street performers, and volunteers dressed as characters from Dicken’s stories. You can go on a horse-drawn carriage ride for $2, go to the craft area on Public Square, and participate in the singing around the Christmas Tree.

This year’s holiday events in downtown Franklin are going to bring a smile to the faces of your family.
