Did you know that there was a time where this dining establishment was actually a grocery story? In the 1920's, it was a grocery store and a pharmacy that drew people in because it has a soda fountain.
Lynn Chandler was the owner and operator of this establishment. She owned it for 30 years until a politician named Charlie Galbert purchased the establishment. During his reign as owner, it became a popular place for politicians to hang out and enjoy a nice mean.
The Newest Owner
By the end of the year 2012, a man named Skip Bibb took over the establishment. Despite how many times Elliston Place Soda Shop has changed hands; it has never once moved locations or closed its doors.
The foods they sell and the customers they appeal to has changed over the years. But, no one sees Elliston disappearing from Nashville any time in the near future. In the past 75 years, the people of Nashville have come to love Elliston.
