Franklin TN Homes for Sale
Real estate in Franklin is naturally beautiful, even though the city is just 20 minutes away from the hub of Nashville, Tennessee. The town itself was founded in 1799 and named after Benjamin Franklin, who was also a President of the USA. As a result there are lots of cities called Franklin in the USA, but there is only one in Williamson County, and only one that keeps winning the awards for the best small town in America!
A wealthy city with an equally rich history, Franklin TN manages to feel like a small rural town, despite its 46,000 or so residents. Those who choose to live in Franklin are looking for a lifestyle that is neither hindered by large crowds or by boredom. The homes in Franklin sit comfortably amid a gorgeous landscape with lots of recreation such as horse riding and walking—yet you're within easy reach of modern amenities galore in Cool Springs and Green Hills.
Being able to sit at Starbucks on Main Street or at any of the local sidewalk cafés, and just people watch is another attractive element of this very desirable city. Lots of people come to Historic Downtown Franklin simply to hang out, have an ice cream at Ben and Jerry's (which just closed down!!!), get a coffee, or have lunch and just watch the world go by. It's a great place to meet new friends, enjoy modern day conveniences, and develop a new appreciation for the architecture of the late 1800s. One great way to explore the city and its history is to take one of the guided walking tours. These are great fun and very entertaining, although the ghost tours may not be suitable for the faint of heart!.

Many newcomers to the Nashville area visit the historic community of Franklin Tennessee as tourists, but soon fall in love with the well preserved historic Main Street and town square. In fact, the new development at Westhaven TN has tried to reproduce the small town America feel of Franklin, which is just 5 minutes away.
