The Germantown Lifestyle
The Germantown neighborhood is directly northwest of downtown Nashville. It's a quiet place where people can live while being right next to the downtown area, without being in the downtown area. Germantown was named for the influx of German immigrants who moved into this part of Nashville in the 1800s. Metro Nashville Public Schools is the district that administers all the K–12 schools here. There are no public schools within the Germantown neighborhood itself.
