It's also worth bearing in mind that because a builder has gone out of business and the homes are now being foreclosed on that maybe the demand for those homes was a function of the the builder jumping on the real estate boom band wagon and building homes that were rejected by the general home buying public or the location was a major factor. Either way the future resale of the home should be a serious consideration because the foreclosure price may represent the real market value and you'll have to price accordingly when you come to sell the home.

The talk of possible recession is a twin edged sword for the real estate community. The possibility of a rate reduction in the prime interest rate can lead to mortgage rates being reduced but the negative talk can reduce consumer confidence and reinforce the "wait and see" mode of home buyers.

As the weather improved across the United States the traditional season for moving kicked into high gear. Already the number of inquiries regarding real estate to this site and sites like HummerHomes.com, NashvilleHomes.org, NashvilleBuyers.com have all reported a significant increase in the last few weeks starting early April 2010.

Now that we are heading into the traditional slow season it is clear that the demand has slowed down but The Ashton Real Estate group is still having a lot of success.

2009 overall has been an excellent real estate market for those with the finaces and ability to buy a home. The combination of historically low mortgagte rates, high unemployement, the first time home buyer incentives, and the general resignation of home sellers that they would be losing money on the sale of their home compared to the hey day of real estate in 2006.

2010 has got off very positive start in the first six months as home buyers and sellers are starting to feel more confident about the end of the recession. As consumer confidence begins to grow and people turn from a wait and see mode to its a good time to buy we will see the resal estate market show signs of increasing values and smaller list price to sales price reductions.
