In addition Gallatin has the only lakefront golf course community called Fairvue Plantation. Hendersonville will soon have the sister site to Fairvue at Foxlands. The big decision that every one at Fairvue has been waiting for is wether the Corp of Engineers would grant the boat docks for the existing homes and a marina. That has now been approved so the home owners will be able to apply for their boat docks and in doing so will have added about $200,000 to the value of thier homes, once the docks had been approved and installed.

Hendersonville and Gallatin are two communities that in recent years have been home to such stars as Jonny Cash, Roy Orbison, Trisha Yearwood, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jenny Slate and numerous session and touring musicians such as the local legend "Smiley" Roberts.
Infrastructure Development
The development of the Vietnam Veterens Expressway in the mid 1980's opened up this local beauty spot as an ideal commuter town, just 25 minutes from down town Nashville, and now with the expansion of I65 completed the commute is even quicker.
Gallatin too will be benefiting from the extension of the Vietnam Veterens Blvd which is now open and is proving to be very popular with the locals and has opened up the accessibilty of Gallatin to lots of home owners who work in Nashville or Hendersonville.
