Hendersonville and Gallatin Historic Homes
Hendersonville is known as the city on the lake or Nashvilles north shore, but prior to the creation of the lake, this was just farm land and platations. This meant that there were quite a few old farmhouses that have since been renovated and represent a very appealing style to a lot of people. Lots of the early settlers to the area built log homes and quite a few of these have remained.
Gallatin developed more as a traditional city and actually was the county seat. Gallatin has more of a feel of Franklin in that it has the traditional downtown square and surrounding renovated historic commercial buildings. Gallatin has probably a more extensive selection of brick built historic homes than Hendersonville and is well worth a visit.
