Though Middle College High School accepts students from all of the Williamson County High Schools, there is an application process that must be completed and approved prior to attendance here. Middle College High School first opened its doors to Williamson County’s knowledge hungry high school students in the fall on ’98, meeting on the campus of Nashville State Community College, then in temporary portables on the Franklin High Campus and has found its home in Franklin at its current address.

One of 22 middle colleges in the state, the students of Middle College High School are afforded the opportunity of joint enrollment in both Middle College High School and either Columbia State Community College, O’Moore School Of Design and NSCC as well. This offers each student that attends Middle College High School an opportunity to be that much more prepared for the challenges that await them in their collegiate career as well as the challenges they will face as adults in daily life post-graduation.
