"This region's diverse economy has softened the impact of national economic and housing trends and we continue to anticipate positive trends in the months ahead." Source GNAR

Archive from February 2008
The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors released the figures for homes sold in Nashville Tennessee. In February 2008 there were 1,892 homes sold and closings which represents a 26.5% derease from the same period last year. In February 2007 there were 2,575 closings.
"The difference in the number of home sales in Greater Nashville between February of this year (2008) and the same month last year is less that what it has been in recent months. It is still significant, but headed the right direction," said Mandy Wachtler, 2008 President of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors. "It is encouraging to note that the number of homes sold has increased when compared to the month before and it is by a larger percentage than was the case a year ago. And, pending sales are the highest they have been since last October. These are positive signs that will likely help create positive trends for the coming months." Source GNAR
