Historic Elmwood in Gallatin was built by the first surgeon of Vanderbilt in 1868. There are some original pictures of the home showing that the original elevation is almost 100% as it was the day it was built.
Professional Restoration
It has now been beautifully restored to it's prime and is recognized as one of the finest examples of "Italian Renaissance" homes in Gallatin and the state of Tennessee.
The renovation of the home was a major under taking and was overseen by an intern from the state. The attention to detail was unsurpased and as a result the home has been brought back to its original splendour.
