The Best Songwriters Clubs in Nashville TNOne thing that draws people to Nashville and sets it apart from other cities is its music. What makes Nashville even better is the fact that it is so much more than just the final products and performances.

It is so much more than just famous singers who made it big and were born here. It is a place that explores how music starts from the very beginning. There are a number of songwriter clubs in Nashville, for example, that play a huge role in the development of music in the city.

Douglas Corner – 2106-A 8th Avenue South

Douglas Corner is a club that has been popular within the songwriting community of Nashville for a very long time. It is where a number of the aspiring songwriters who one day go on to be famous, start out. You should keep in mind that this is a club for people who actually want to perform or listen to the performances. The guests do not like people who talk during the performances.

Bluebird Café – 4104 Hillsboro Road

This is another example of a songwriting club for people who are serious about listening to the performance. Saying a few words when someone is singing is not only going to get you hushed, but it will get you a lot of dirty glares as well.

Commodore Grille - 2613 West End Ave

The Commodore Grille is an in-house bar and restaurant located inside the Holiday Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt. This watering hole is a must-visit for Nashville music lovers and travelers wanting to see up-and-coming artists and local talent in their element. This inviting location hosts nightly singer-songwriter rounds as well as open mic nights that give anyone the chance to perform. While the food is excellent, the big draw that you might find yourself sipping a beer next to an artist that will soon be the "next big thing.”

Café Coco – 210 Louise Avenue

What people like about Café Coco is the fact that it is always open. It is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week. They serve a wide range of beverages and foods. Plus, they have open mic nights on Thursdays if you are an aspiring singer looking for your first chance to perform for a crowd.

These are just a few of the many different songwriting clubs in Nashville that are worth checking out if you are a singer or if you just enjoy listening to good music.
