The Holiday Flea Market will take place on December 7 and December 8 at the Nashville Fairgrounds. From artisan bread to local art and handcrafted bath and body products, this market is the ideal place to begin checking off those gifts on the holiday shopping list. Music City Winterfest
The Music City Winterfest is the premier holiday festival in Nashville, featuring activities for the young and the young at heart. The 2018 festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 8 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 9. Begin the day with Breakfast with Santa or sip mimosas at the Onesie Brunch. Throughout the day, enjoy activities such as pet portraits or a beard competition. Guests also will enjoy live musical performances throughout the day, and they can grab a meal at one of the food trucks stationed there. Admission is $5 per person for those over the age of 18, while those 17 and under can visit for free.
Belmont Christmas Open House
Each year, the Belmont Mansion is decorated with authentic Victorian Christmas decorations, and people from around the country flock to the home to see it in all of its festive splendor. The Belmont Christmas Open House takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 14. This event allows visitors to take a self-guided tour throughout the home in order to see every room and all of the decorations. Upon completing their tour, they can enjoy hot cider, cookies and music in the Grand Salon. Advanced tickets are required for this event, and can be purchased for $10 per person.
Music City Bowl
The Franklin American Mortgage Company Music City Bowl takes place every year in Nashville, allowing to collegiate football teams to compete for the championship title after their season is complete. In 2018, the 21st annual Music City Bowl will take place on December 28 at Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville. While plenty of Nashville locals and college football aficionados will attend the event each year, those who can't make it can catch it on ESPN's televised broadcast that day. Tickets to the game are generally available for purchase after it has been announced which teams will be playing in the game.
