The real estate market throughout Williamson County is red hot right now, and from January all the way to December of 2016, average home values in the area increased by more than $30,000.

In case you haven’t noticed, townhouses are in high demand in Nashville right now, prompting local developers to keep pushing forward with building more. Earlier this week, Woodland Street Partners LLC revealed plans to develop a 28-unit townhouse community over on Nashville’s west side, and now, another 20-unit town home project is being planned by Rochford Reality & Construction Co. for a 3.07-acre site over in East Nashville. 

Construction for the new development, which will also include 1,900 square feet of retail space next door to the historic McGavock House, is expected to begin within the next 30 days, meaning first delivery for the new townhouses could come as early as this fall.

Sterling Point Nashville TownhousesReports have surfaced about a new 28-unit townhouse development being planned for a 2.35-acre site on Sterling Street over in West Nashville. 

According to The Tennessean, Woodland Street Partners LLC is expecting to begin construction later this year for the new townhouse units, which would reportedly be listed for under $500,000. 

With many would-be buyers being priced out of other nearby neighborhoods like 12 South, East Nashville, and Sylvan Park, demand for housing in this particular part of the city has skyrocketed in recent months, and on-going development both on the residential and commercial side of things is also catching the attention of many home buyers in the market looking for the next up-and-coming place to live.

Nashville Real Estate Market in 2017Now that the calendar has officially flipped over to 2017, it didn’t take long for national real estate website Zillow to rank what should be the hottest real estate markets of the new year. Earlier today, Zillow released their annual list of what they project to be the top-performing markets over the next 12 months, which was determined by analyzing how quickly home values are rising in each city, which cities have the lowest unemployment rates and highest job gains, and also which cities have the strongest income growth.
