Charlotte Avenue Corridor DevelopmentReports from the Nashville Post earlier this week indicate a large industrial property on an up-and-coming stretch of Charlotte Avenue in Nashville could be converted to residential development sooner rather than later.

As the former home of Madison Mill Inc., the property at 42nd Avenue and Charlotte was recently acquired by Nashville-based Stonehenge Real Estate Group, who could be looking to bring both an apartment building and a collection of single-family homes to the 7.1 acre site.

Noted in the report is that the property has been completely vacant since earlier this year, when Madison Inc. moves to another industrial park in nearby Cheatham County.  

For now, no other details about the possible project have been released, although Stonehenge plans to

East Greenway Park, Nashville

Earlier this week, Aerial Development Group revealed plans to develop a 10-acre community in East Nashville that will include 62 cottage-style homes that range from 1,250 square feet to 2,400 square feet. The project, being called East Greenway Park, will be Aerial’s largest project to date in the company’s short five year history, not to mention the largest cottage-style development to hit the East Nashville area as well.

Along with all the charming cottages, the 1,300 square foot home at the corner of Eastland and Rosebank will also be restored or rebuilt by Aerial, which will eventually be commercial space for perhaps a coffee shop, cafe, or bakery.

Williamson County, TN HomesAccording to data recently released from the Williamson County Association of REALTORS®,  home sales in Williamson County exceeded 500 closings for the fourth straight month, increasing year-to-date numbers by a whopping 18.6%.

In all, nearly 570 homes were sold in the Williamson County area in August, breaking a previous sales record of 493 homes set back in 2005. As mentioned in a report from WCAR News Central, there were only two months during all of last year with more than 500 homes sold, further demonstrating hot the market has been not only in Nashville, but in many of its surrounding communities as well.

In addition to just the number of home sales, the median home price is also up 9% from last year’s figure of $380,000, making it the ninth
