Nearby communities, LaurelBrooke and Carronbridge are interested in Westhaven’s new private golf course at Westhaven Golf Club. The club features a golf shop with full services, extensive selection of golf equipment and clothing. The clubhouse has a banquet facility and will be available for events. There are also tennis and swim facilities being constructed, with events and programs for members and their families. The golf course has been recently opened and the clubhouse will open in 2011.
The golf course is only a part of the community green space. Fully 50% of Westhaven is designated parkland, pathways, public grounds and gardens. Westhaven prides itself on the quality of its gardens, especially. There is a 40-person horticultural department that maintains the lavish gardens in the common grounds and provides resident gardeners with the knowledge and help they need to keep their gardens blooming. The annual Westhaven Courtyard Garden Tour is a popular event for Franklin residents.
