Westhaven Golf Course and Club in Franklin TN

Developed in association with the adjacent Southern Land Company upscale residential community at Westhaven Franklin, TN the golf course was designed by renowned architects Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates.

The golf couse itself is made up of 200 acres that were deemed best suited to be dedicated to golf out of the original 1,500 Westhaven acre development. None of the Westhaven homes will line the course which allows the members to enjoy a true golfing experience without out the visual intrusion of homes!

The Club recently made its second release of 25 memberships to non-Westhaven Residents, with almost half being immediately reserved.  This response echoes the first release of such Memberships in August 2007 in which all 25 were also acquired within one week

Description of a Core Golf Course

The past 50 years of golf course design and development have drifted away from the classic courses of the past. Westhaven Golf Club has been designed using a traditional “core” configuration drawing from all the best features of the finest courses from golf’s golden age of architecture.

As a result, Westhaven Golf Club is a actually separate from the Westhaven residential community. The club will be a distinct entity but still showing the flair and attention to detail that has made the Southern Land Company, and Westhaven, one of the most successful developments in Tennessee. 

The new course will allow the serious golfer a throwback true escape, with minimal distractions, and the ability to focus on the game and the beauty of the tranquil surroundings.

Golf Club Membership

The following information was provided directly by Southern Land Company:

Full Golf Membership – Includes full access to the club’s golf course, golf practice facilities, locker rooms, tennis courts, and clubhouse grill and banquet rooms. The member and his/her immediate family will be exempt from green fees, golf practice fees and court fees.

Corporate Full Golf Membership – Designed specifically for businesses, Corporate Memberships allow the member company to designate one eligible individual along with his or her eligible immediate family to use the membership. The business may change the designee up to once per any 12-month period by paying a change fee equal to 2.5% of the then-current Corporate Membership initiation fee, without being subject to any waiting lists.

Senior Weekday Golf Membership – This membership is an available option for golfers age 62 and over. Includes the access of a Full Golf Membership, with a reduction in monthly dues.

Tennis Membership – Tennis members may use the Club’s championship tennis facilities, along with the main clubhouse, grill and banquet amenities. Tennis memberships do not include the use of the golf course or golf practice facilities, other than as the guest of a golf member. Facilities are currently in the final design stage; dues and fees will be available at a later date.

Clubhouse Membership – Clubhouse members may use the clubhouse, grill and banquet rooms, and may participate in related social events throughout the year. This excludes the use of the golf course, golf practice facilities, or the tennis courts. Full details, including eligibility and a schedule of fees, will be made available at a later date.
