Smyrna TN Homes for Sale

Smyrna Tennessee property is ideal for buyers who are looking for a place that is family-friendly, safe, and community-oriented, but is also progressive when it comes to growth.

The majority of homes for sale in Smyrna range between $100-200,000, and the cost of living is considerably less than the national average. Smyrna was even recognized as one of the country's "Best Places to Retire" by U.S. News & World Report, which looks at things like the cost of living, cultural and recreational amenities, as well as crime rate, and access to healthcare and education.

For those looking for new construction, there are plenty of newer Smyrna TN homes to choose from, as the area continues to develop new residential and commercial properties.

Recreation Opportunities in Smyrna

Development in Smyrna also includes items that improve residents' quality of life like adding onto parks and walking trails, as well as building new schools and recreation centers.

Currently, there are about 10 parks in Smyrna, with numerous lighted soccer and baseball fields, as well as basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds, picnicking areas, and a popular 3,000 sq. ft. splash pad at Gregory Mills Park. Smyrna is also home to a large greenway, which connects various hiking trails and businesses. There are plans for the Smyrna Greenway System to extend to neighboring cities like Murfreesboro and Nashville in the future as well.

For additional recreation, Smyrna also houses a public golf course, and has several boat ramps that lead to Percy Priest Lake, which is a great spot for fishing.

Schools & Community Information

If you're thinking about relocating to the Smyrna real estate area, be aware that commuting to Nashville can be a bit time-consuming at rush hour—taking roughly 45 minutes each way on a weekday. For most residents however, the commute is worth it, as they get to live in such a lovely community.

The largest employer in Smyrna is the Nissan manufacturing plant, which has attracted a large number of people to the area. Shopping opportunities abound, with a nice mix of locally owned businesses and large retailers like Publix and Kroger.

There are several schools serving Smyrna, including Cedar Grove Elementary, Stewartsboro Elementary, Smyrna Middle School, and Smyrna High School.

If there are homes in Smyrna that you'd like to view in person, call 615-361-6641 or contact our Smyrna TN real estate agents online any time to arrange an appointment.
