Often, we don't think about which hospital we should use until it's an emergency. However, it's a good idea to know the different hospitals found throughout your city. Whether you need to find a new doctor or you just need to know which hospital is closest, here's a look at the best hospitals found throughout Nashville.

Saint Thomas at Midtown - 2000 Church Street, Nashville

Saint Thomas at Midtown used to be Baptist Hospital. However, it is now the largest not-for-profit community hospital in the area with 50 licensed rehab and acute care beds. The hospital is home to the Baptist Women's Treatment Center and a member of Saint Thomas Health Services.

Centennial Medical Center - 2300 Patterson Street, Nashville

A part of TriStar Hospital System, Centennial Medical Center is one of the most complete facilities found in all of Tennessee. They offer 600 beds, more than 1,200 physicians and they are home to the Sarah Cannon (Minnie Pearl) Cancer Center. It's also known as a local favorite for parents because of the pediatric care.

Vanderbilt University Hospital - 1215 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville

As the largest learning, research and medical facility in Middle Tennessee, Vanderbilt University Hospital has been ranked as one of the best in the entire nation for many years. Its home to the Ingram Cancer Center, Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital, Vanderbilt Clinic, Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital and the Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital.

Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital - 1818 Albion Street, Nashville

This is a publically supported hospital owned and governed by the city. They have 125 beds.
