Nashville's Franklin Theatre is going to be hosting a Downton Abbey Screening & Soiree this December. Fans of the show won’t want to miss this 1920s Soiree and screening with themed hors d’oeuvres, photo ops and live music.

It’s your chance to celebrate your favorite show, dress as your favorite character or in Roaring 20s attire. Plus, they’re going to have a special screening after the soiree showing the first hour of the first episode of season 5. Here is what you can expect at this exciting event in Nashville.

What to Expect

This event is going to be a blast. Nashville Public Television is hosting this advanced public screening of season 5 and making the screening a whole party. This advanced screening of Season 5 will take place the historic Franklin Theater. Fans of the show can catch the first hour of Downton Abbey’s season 5 on MASTERPIECE. It’s not even supposed to be released until January 4th, 2015 which makes this night really exciting.

Arrive in your favorite characters attire or dress in a Roaring 20’s costume. They’ll have hors d’oeuvres themed from the show’s period of time. At the pre-screening soiree, enjoy Bacon and Caviar gourmet catering, drinks from VPT Ventures/Vicki Turner and live music.

There will also be plenty of photo ops so make sure to arrive by 7pm. The screening starts at 8pm and then afterwards, head over across the street for the after-party including champagne and music at Walton’s Antiques and Estate Jewelry. They are the event sponsor.

Where and When?

The Franklin Theatre is located at 419 Main Street. Arrive at 7pm on December 11th for the soiree. Tickets will start at $75.

The Franklin Theatre has been open since 1937 and closed in 2007. It was reopened by the Heritage Foundation of Franklin who decided to rehabilitate the landmark. It opened in 2010 and is now better than ever after investing $8 million into the building. You’ll love their state-of-the-art sound and lighting system and historic charm. The event should be an intimate, small venue feel.
