Save the DateIf you love taking the family to an event, but know the admission prices add up fast, you're in luck. There are plenty of great summer event series with low or no admission fee in Nashville. Here are some of the top choices for your summer event fun.

Movies in the Park - June 5th to June 26th

You can enjoy Movies in the Park on Thursdays at Elmington Park. The fun starts at 5pm and there's no admission fee.

Frist Fridays - June 27th to August 29th

On the last Friday of June, July and August, you can enjoy "Frist Fridays" at the Frist Center. This event includes plenty of live music, exhibits and plenty of fun for an affordable price.

Musicians Corner - Through June 28th

This incredible event will actually take place through June and again in September and October at Centennial Park. It's a family-friendly event with no admission cost. The pre-show starts at noon and the performances run from 1:30pm to 5pm. There are all kinds of activities and the event happens each Saturday.

Live on the Green - August 14th to September 6th

With plenty of great concerts, Live on the Green is the perfect choice for family fun. It's a free event and will be held four times on Thursdays. Live music will be held from 5pm to 11pm and a music festival will be also be held September 4th to 6th.

Second Saturday Outdoor Cinema - June 14th to September 13th

The Belcourt Theatre will hold a classic film on the Second Saturday of every summer month. This is a free event and the movies will begin at sundown.

Grassy Knoll Movie Nights - Through October 15th

Every month, on a selected Sunday, the Grassy Knoll Movie Nights will happen with movies starting at sundown. The cost is $5 per person and the movies will happen at 109 South 11th Street.

These are just a few of the many free or cheap events happening this summer in Nashville. You don't have to spend a fortune to have fun throughout the city.
