12Giving

Al Thomas and his wife began 12Giving, because they wanted to integrate a way of giving back through the businesses that they own. Currently, they own the Sperry's Restaurant and co-own Sam's Sports Grill. There charitable accomplishments began locally, and the Thomas's hoped it would continue to advance across the nation.

The concept of 12Giving, is for local restaurants choose a menu item, and give the revenue off that item to a designate a charity. The menu item and charity would change each month. This is a tremendous way to continually give back to the community. Not only is the restaurant involved, it also invites customers to get involved as well.

American Red Cross – Nashville Area Chapter

This is a non-profit organization, that continuously needs helpers as well as blood donations. The American Red Cross is responsible for health and safety education, emergency social services to the military, CPR education and natural disaster relief. Education is key to knowing what to do when an emergency arises. Therefore, this organization provides education that has and will save an abundance of lives.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee

This outreach is designed to help children strive to obtain their full potential by providing one-on-one interaction support.

Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee

The Community Foundation organizes and supervises funding for over 700 different outreaches, suggesting personal humanitarian solutions with open minded contributors, nonprofit charities and the public.

Catholic Charities of Tennessee

Around since 1962, Catholic Charities of Tennessee is a charitable organization with a passion for helping others regardless of race, gender or creed. Tied to the national Catholic Charities, the mission is simple: to help those in need. From seniors, to refugees and young children, Catholic Charities helps those who are struggling with issues of poverty, lack of care, and the basic human needs of a safe home. With offices spread throughout Tennessee, their reach in the state is vast. They provide services through more than 50 different outreach programs throughout Tennessee, giving people hope at a time when they don't have any.
