Here is a message from Matt Magallenes of Southern Land Company.

Dear Golf Enthusiasts:

Our hearts go out to the many people suffering loss due to the rains and floods this week.  Many of our friends, family, employees and professional associates in the golf industry have been severely impacted.  Some golf clubs are still assessing their situation and are working hard to resume play as soon as possible.

We are blessed to report that our golf facilities were spared the major damage experienced by other courses in the area.  Our members and guests will resume play on the course this week.  We have clean-up to complete, we need to repair a modestly damaged green, and we are replacing sand that washed out of many bunkers.  With the Westhaven course nestled along the banks of the West Harpeth River the golf architects designed it to survive a 100-year flood--- which this event far exceeded.  In the end their decision saved our course from major damage, for which we are thankful.

If you have been thinking of coming out to view the layout, play the course, or to take lessons I wanted you to know we will be ready to receive you starting next week. Please call me today to set up a time or answer any questions.

Sincerely,

Matthew D. Magallanes
