Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the longest-running and best rated television special is coming to the stage in Nashville this holiday season. Check out the TPAC James Polk Theater for one week only this holiday season to enjoy your favorite reindeer story.

Rudolph will be transformed into a musical this holiday season based on the stop-motion animated television special. Here is a look at the Nashville performance of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, The Musical.

What to Expect

Timothy Splain is providing the orchestrations and arrangements while Robert Penola is producing the script adaptation. They’ve transformed the 50 year old television series that remains the high-rated special into a musical to bring to Nashville audiences. The event will only take place for one week in December showing the adaptation of the stop-motion animated TV special.

What is the Musical About?

The story is about Rudolph and Hermey the Elf who leave Santa’s holiday compound as misfits. They look for a place that they’ll be accepted as they are and end up meeting Yukon Cornelius. Yukon is looking for gold and the three are chased by the Abominable Snowman.

They end up in the isle of misfit toys to find they still don’t fit in but realize with the glow of Rudolph’s red nose that what makes you different makes you special. This is the underlying of the message.

You’ll hear Ron Lackey as Sam the Snowman, narrator of the musical. His voice sets the tone during the show and will light up the room when you hear Santa ask “Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Where and When?

Check out the performance on December 16th through the 21st at 7pm. Tickets start at $25. The event is located at TPAC 505 Dreaderick Street. There are three auditoriums in the TPAC and they have been the host to comedians, small productions, Broadway shows, concerts and more. You can enjoy adult beverages in the show.

Don’t miss Rudolph live this holiday season.
