It usually takes a few weeks to get used to the kids going to school again and by the middle of September, it's time to find an event. Whether you want to take the entire family or you need a little time just for you and your other half, here are some of the top upcoming events in the Nashville area.

Franklin 4 The Cure - September 14th

This all-day event kicks off with, "Run for the Cure." This is a 5K run/walk event with the proceeds going to help fund the Franklin 4 the Cure Discovery Grant, which supports cancer research at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. The event will also include, "Concert 4 The Cure," after the 5K. The event begins at 6:30am.

Blake Shelton - September 14th

Blake Shelton, Easton Corbin and Jana Kramer will take the stage. This concert will provide plenty of entertainment from the 2013 CMA Entertainer of the Year and the ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year. AS they cross paths in Nashville, they will perform together.

Americana Music Festival - September 18th to 22nd

Presented by Nissan, this music festival will feature all kinds of great acts. The Americana Music Association with provide the annual festival and conference with plenty of entertainment for the entire family.

Taylor Swift - September 19th to 21st

One of the hottest female vocalists of the past few years will take the stage as a part of Taylor's RED Tour. She will perform her hottest songs with a variety of instruments as a part of one of the most anticipated shows of the year.

Southern Ground Music & Food Festival - September 27th and 28th

Zac Brown Band kicked this festival off last year and will be on the stage again this year. The Lawn at Riverfront Park will be the destination for this festival and will provide all types of excellent entertainment throughout the weekend.
