Get ready for a busy month for Nashville this May. The city has planned several great events for residents to enjoy to get you outdoors and enjoying the community. From annual events returning to Mother’s Day celebrations, there is so much to celebrate. Here is a look at the upcoming events like the Annual Days on the Farm, the Natalie Cole concert and the Mud Run.

Mud Run Nashville

This May 2nd, take part in the Mud Run Nashville. It’s a 5k or 10k obstacle course full of mud pits, log walks and rope swings. You can form a team with a group of friends. Both courses offered are military style obstacle courses and they are only allowing runners 12 years and older.

Natalie Cole

Music lovers should check out the Natalie Cole concert this May to celebrate Mother’s Day. It’s taking place at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. It’s going to be Natalie Cole’s first appearance in town for over 10 years. It will take on Mother’s Day, May 10th at 7pm.

Days on the Farm

On May 14th-15th you can enjoy the Annual Days on the Farm at the Sam Davis Home. It’s a living history celebration featuring at least 20 demonstrations about life during Civil War times. You’ll see candle-making demonstrations and how soap is made from pig fat and lye. Tour through the historic home and stop by the gift shop to grab some old-fashioned candy or a historical toy.

Art After Hours

The Art After Hours event returning this May. On the first Thursday of each month you can check out this free event. Visit some of Nashville’s best art galleries for no charge during the citywide art crawl.

Shakesbeer

Check out Shakesbeer, the beer event benefitting the Nashville Shakespeare Festival and the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring. The event is celebrating local brewers and actors of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival.

This May is going to offer so many great options for Nashville residents for all ages.
