April is going to be here before you know it which means spring is coming and Nashville is ready to celebrate. April is a great time to enjoy the community, spend time outdoors and recover from the winter blues. Whether you want to enjoy some Easter fun, see a great performance or do something fun with the whole family, there are some great choices this year. Here is what you can do for April 2015 around Nashville.

The Magical World of Tchaikovsky

Why not check out a fun ballet performance celebrating Tchaikovsky this April? On the 11th, you can enjoy ballet to the music of Tchaikovsky in a magical, imaginative and memorable performance. Dancers are coming from the Nashville School of the Arts to display a world of movement and music.

You’ll hear works from the Russian composer including Swan Lake, Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. If you arrive at 10am, you can enjoy free, family-friendly pre-concert activities like story nook, crafts and an instrument Petting Zoo. It takes place at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, 1 Symphony Place, Nashville.

Nashville’s Favorite Easter Events

April means Easter season and Nashville has some fun activities going on. Children can enjoy the annual Easter Egg Hunts. There are also local and favorite Easter related places to take your little ones unique to the city. Check out the Sam Davis Home for the Annual Easter Eggstravaganza, Nashville Zoo’s Eggstravaganzoo and the Belle Meade Plantation’s Victoria Easter Egg Hunt.

Other April Events

The city also gears up for some April events like Art After Hours where locals can enjoy an art crawl at some of the best art galleries on the first Thursday of each month for free. Check out the free Vanderbilt exhibit at 100 Oaks Mall featuring Brain Matters, an interactive exhibit with information on the mystery of the human brain, how it works and information on diseases.

This is only a portion of the massive amount of April events to look forward to in Nashville.
