PumpkinsThe 31st Annual Pumpkinfest Fills Franklin’s Main Street is coming to town this October. Historic Downtown Franklin is hosting the event around Main Street on the 25th of October for no charge.

Hosted by the Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County, the event will last from 10am – 6pm. Everyone can enjoy children’s activities, the chili cook-off, live music and so much more.

Activities for Kids

Pumpkinfest is going to offer a variety of activities for all ages.

Children can enjoy:

  • Pumpkin painting
  • Inflatables
  • Pony Rides
  • Pictures with Princesses
  • Free Games with small prizes
  • Costume Contest

Children’s activities will take place on Third Avenue North all day. The costume contest is open to all ages and even your pets can participate. The contests costs $2 for entry and you’ll sign up next to the stage in front of the City Hall. They are accepting 50 contestants in each category.

Activities for Adults

Adults will enjoy:

  • Over 75 arts and crafts booths featuring holiday and fall handcrafted items
  • Live music
  • Chili Cook-Off
  • Spooky tours of downtown Franklin

The crafts booths will be located Public Square and East Main to First Avenue all day. The Live music is located at Main Street and Fifth Avenue, as well as Public Square, filling two stages of all day music.

The chili cook-off is in its 12th year and is going to feature ten teams. To sample the cook-off chili, it costs $10 for tickets and you’ll receive 12 samples of two-ounce portions. This event will be located at Third Avenue South between the Courthouse and City Hall only from 10:30am-3pm.

Evening Haunted Tour

The spooky tours will be of two historic cemeteries over at North Margin Street. This is just two blocks away from Main Street. From 7pm-9pm on Saturday, you’ll experience costumed actors telling stories about the cemeteries’ occupants. It costs $15 for all except from ages 7 – 13 its $5.

This year Pumpkinfest is sure to draw in a large crowd to downtown Franklin.
