Whether you love to golf or you enjoy a good festival, there's an event coming up for you. Nashville is home to many charity events and two of the best will be held in September. Here's a look at both of these amazing events.
8th Annual Cumberland River Dragon Boat Festival - September 6th
The Dragon Boat Festival is a huge event perfect for those looking to compete or just enjoy a day watching the competition. The event will feature plenty of fun from the actual races to the cultural performances and so much more!
You can support the racers with a paddle pledge. The goal of the festival is to raise $20,000 to help support the Cumberland River Compact work. There will also be plenty of vendors on hand with plenty of food and other items.
15th Annual Miller Harris Foundation Golf Tournament - September 8th
The Miller Harris Foundation is one of the most influential organizations in the city and provides an annual golf outing every fall. This year the event will include a shotgun start at 10am, along with a Continental Breakfast before the event.
The event will be held on Monday, September 8th at the Temple Hills Country Club. Check-in will start at 8am and you can enjoy a little time on the putting green or driving range before the tournament starts.
Registration is necessary before the event starts and you can register by mail or online. Individuals and teams of four can register online here: http://www.millerharrisfoundation.org/tournament-registration-2/
These are just two of the many upcoming events in the Nashville area. Plenty of other events will be happening all over the city. Whether you want to help support a worthy cause by playing a round of golf or you want to become a paddle pledger, you can become a part of both of these upcoming charity events.
