April is a big month for events in Nashville. It's the perfect transition from colder weather to warmer days. Flowers and trees are blooming all over the city and events are often scheduled for April all over the Music City. Here are three great choices for fun events in April this year.

2014 Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival - April 12th from 10am to 4pm

Six-hundred Japanese Cherry Blossom trees will be blooming throughout the city and April 12th is a day to celebrate these blooms. This event is more than just blooming Cherry Trees, however. Enjoy all types of activities including:

  • Martial Arts Demonstrations
  • A Marketplace
  • Cultural Lectures
  • Japanese Music and Dance
  • Japanese Food Trucks and Vendors

This is a free and family-friendly celebration perfect for a day of fun in Nashville.

15th Annual Ragin' Cajun Crawfish Boil - April 12th from 4pm to 9pm

After you finish at the Cherry Blossom Festival, head to Cumberland Park for the Crawfish Boil. This event will provide all kinds of fun with all-you-can-drink beer, life entertainment and plenty of crawfish. It's an annual events and one of the more popular choices in the city. Tickets range from $40 to $50 per person.

Nashville Film Festival - April 17th to April 26th

The Greenhills Regal Cinemas 16 and the Nissan Multicultural Festival Village will hold the Nashville Film Festival this year with all kinds of fun. Attend one day or all the day of the festival and enjoy over 200 films. Online ticket sales open at 10am on April 7th and they will go fast. The box office doesn't open until the day before the festival starts, however.

All three of these events provide a great opportunity to enjoy the Music City. Whether you love beer or want to enjoy Cherry Blossom Trees and Japanese culture, there's an event you can enjoy in April.
