The importance of connections

Posted by Gary Ashton: RE/MAX on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 at 3:20pm.

As REALTORS we are in a service business. We are here to make the process of buying or selling a home go smoothly and effectively. That is the service that we attempt to provide. I was thinking about that the other day and about how important it is for us to stay connected to the BEST available people in the industry to be able to serve your needs as a client better.

Some more obvious connections that we would have as REALTORS that would help our clients out a ton would be mortgage professionals, contractors, handymen, landdscapers and so forth. But the interesting thing in the real estate business is that it is important for us to have a solid network of other REALTORS handy as well. I was talking to a friend and fellow REALTOR in San Diego CA, Dan Beer. He specializes in several areas around San Diego including some of the more upscale areas like Santaluz. (Not much different from The Ashton Real Estate Group here!).  We were comparing notes about different resources that we could provide on our websites that would be helpful to people that are looking for homes.

We shared several ideas with each other (some that we are going to implement here as well as some of ours that he will be implementing for his area too!). The net effect will be that buyers and sellers in BOTH area will benefit. Our real estate team has dozens of members, all of whom are connected to hundreds of other people just like Dan around the country that are sharing ideas and ways to make your experience better.

Connections like Dan are important. They help us to bring a whole new level of service to you.
