Speak Out and Show Your Support at the Nashville Pride Festival this June

Posted by Gary Ashton: RE/MAX on Friday, June 8th, 2012 at 2:24am.

Nashville Pride is a non-profit organization in Nashville, Tennessee, and every year for the past 23 years they have been host to an exciting Festival in celebration of gay-lesbian-bisexual-transgender equality, or GLBT for short. Every year it feels like the community grows closer to the goal of total equality, yet there is still so far to go – come out to this year's Nashville pride Festival to show your support for GLBT culture in Middle Tennessee. No matter what particular orientation you take to, the Nashville Pride Festival is dedicated to maintaining a sense of community while promoting a sense of awareness throughout.

Nashville Pride 2012

If you're hesitant to attend this year's Nashville Pride Festival, just wait until you hear what's in store for attendees - Not only is this year's festival anticipated to be the most attended one ever, but the entertainment and activities are also promised to be more exciting than ever before. True to what you'd expect from any festival taking place in Nashville, you will enjoy tons of live musical entertainment from a wide array of different artists all performing from the Bridgestone Main Stage. From Hello Kelly to Kristy Lee you'll enjoy performances from some of Nashville's most promising musicians; you'll even get a chance to hear “the most unique stand up comic in the country”, Ian Harvie.

Saturday, June 16 to Riverfront Park at 11 AM

All in all, the petty $5 general admission to the Nashville Pride Festival is well worth the fun you're bound to have and the awareness you will spread. In addition, you will be supporting several of Nashville's own merchants, as over 75 vendors will set up booths, stands and tents throughout the festival grounds. There are also VIP tickets available for $50, and those will include your food and drink for the entirety of the festival. If you're looking to support a good cause and have fun while you're doing it, come out on Saturday, June 16 to Riverfront Park at 11 AM.
