Shopping Spotlight on Hillsboro Village in Nashville, Tennessee

Shopping in Nashville is without a doubt the best in Tennessee, but when you're short on time such as during a vacation or when you're looking at homes in the area you want to make sure that you hit the best shopping spots first so you have a good idea about what's available in the area. For your next excursion out on the town, you'll want to head over to Hillsboro Village for a great place to congregate with your friends and family while hitting some of the hottest shopping, eating and entertainment in town.

The Village has something for everyone and is one of the few remaining neighborhood merchants, or collection of individually owned and operated small businesses in an otherwise residential area, in the entire country. You'll enjoy locally brewed beers, jewelry shops and boutiques, a historic theater and a host of other specialty stores that you'll only find in Hillsboro Village.

It would be hard to narrow down a list of the most noteworthy stops in Hillsboro Village simply because there are so many different shops, restaurants and services available. However, you definitely won't want to miss the Belcourt Theatre, which is a local icon. You also won't want to miss the Pancake Pantry which is one of the most popular breakfast diners in all of Nashville. For non-breakfast eating you can try out the Sunset Grill, Cabana, Sweet CeCes and many more.

The entirety of Hillsboro Village is located next to Belmont University, so you're bound to see college kids moseying up and down the Village's streets, and indeed it is a very pedestrian-friendly location. In fact, if anything you could argue that it is too pedestrian-friendly as it can occasionally be hard to navigate the often congested streets. However, it would be hard to leave Hillsboro Village unhappy to have paid a visit… There is simply too much to do and the average quality of the shops and restaurants is too high for you to be disappointed.
