What does the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere have to offer you and your family? Why would you want to spend an afternoon meandering around 200 acres of land just to look at some animals? Well, the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is much more than just a plot of land housing animals, it is a learning experience for all ages and a definite day of fun for your family. What's more? The Nashville zoo is unique among most other zoos you've probably visited because it is both astonishingly expansive in its catalog of animals and it's pleasantly budget friendly in its rates.

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is open every single day from nine o'clock in the morning to six o'clock at night, and it will only ever cost you around $30 to $50 for your whole family...Adults are $15 and children are $10. Parking is also $5. That being said, if by chance you are a military service member then you and your whole party will only be charged $1 each for admission! To make your visit more convenient, if you have young children or seniors with you there are both strollers and wheelchairs available for rent at very reasonable rates, so getting around the zoo is easy no matter who you are. There are also a few small attractions throughout the Zoo, such as a train ride and a carousel, which will run you a couple bucks each for your children to enjoy.

For the adults there is the annual Brews at The Zoo, which is agreat occasion to tour the zoo, sample some great independant beer from around the USA, as well mingle with friends and eat some more of the offerings from the local food vendors.

By the end of the summer you're sure to be desperate for something to keep your kids busy; the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere offers a cheap and easy way for your kids to learn something, have fun and get some exercise while they're at it.

The only thing to be aware of is that there are no restaurants as such but recently there have been some food stands inside the zoo grounds at this time, but you can you'll have pack a lunch or plan your visit around mealtimes. If you do make the trip, make sure you don't miss the cute and cuddly Red Panda and the awesome aerial acrobatics from the monkeys!
