Rolling Stone to Open an Office In Nashville

According to an article in AdAge, the Rolling Stone magazine is to create a standalone website to focus on Country Music. The idea of the website would be to cover Country Music like Rolling Stone covers the Rock and Pop music scene.

This is probably because country music has been seen to be dominating the recent music talent search shows like the Voice and American Idol. Apparently now 1/4 of the American adults are proud to call themselves country music fans and as such they are a target market for all advertisers interested in reaching this broad target market..with one common them...the love of country music.

According to the article in Adage, there will be 10-15 editorial staffers who will be creating the new content for the website, which will again help to draw attention to Nashville, and bring another "voice" to promote the home of country music across the world.

Nashville does seem to be coming to the attention of the main stream media with the growth of the popularity of the TV show "Nashville" and the soon to be released reality show about the wives of Nashville.

If you keep watching, you may see some of the members of the # 1 RE/MAX team, The Ashton Real Estate Group, starting to get involved with some of the latest real estate reality shows that are focused on Nashville.
