Southern Steak & Oyster is known as one of the finer restaurants found in the Nashville area. This local restaurant was started by the same restaurateur as TomKats catering, which is known as one of the go-to choices within the city.
You will find all types of interesting items on the menu at the restaurant and it's located on the ground floor of the Pinnacle Building. If you attend an event at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, you will find Southern Steak & Oysters across the street. It's also found close to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
What to Expect
As you walk in, you will notice the doors are a reclaimed rustic style and the bar area is quite large. There's also a large patio. The design was done by Architect Seab Tuck. He's known for the work he did on the Frist Center for the Visual Arts and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Once you open the menu, you will find plenty of Southern-style dishes such as the Franklin's Saffire, Fish N' Grits and plenty of other choices. There are many great steaks on the menu, along with double-cut smoked pork chops and, of course, oysters.
The cuisine includes influences from the Caribbean, North Carolina and even Nova Scotia. It's upscale, yet affordable and provides plenty of great happy hour specials. Whether you want to dine in private or you're looking for a place to enjoy direct sourced seafood during the big game, Southern Steak & Oyster is a great choice.
Location and Hours
The restaurant is found at 150 Third Avenue South in The Pinnacle Building. It's open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday. On the weekends brunch is served. The restaurant remains open late on Friday and Saturday and reservations are suggested.
