As the name suggests, Fresh to Order is a fast casual restaurant that focuses on providing guests with fresh, made to order items in a timely manner. According to Pierre Panos, founder and CEO of Fresh to Order, the best way to describe the concept is fast fine, or as the motto states, “Fine. Food. Fast.” It’s not fine dining, but it’s not fast food either.
Panos has an extensive background in fine dining. When he came up with the Fresh to Order idea he wanted to provide a quality product for less than $10. It took him over a year to come up with a menu that would fit his vision. Not only did he want to provide incredible food and service for around $10, but he wanted to do it in 10 minutes or less.
After 8 years in the game, this restaurant is still making good on both concepts. On the rare occasion they go over the 10 minute mark, they immediately apologize to the customer and hand out coupons.
There are three basic categories on the Fresh to Order menu. They are long plates, panini sandwiches, and salads. Long plates include a protein, a vegetable and a starch. The reason long plates are used is because Panos understands the importance of presentation. As he stated, “people eat with their eyes”. If the food is presented in the right way, the customers will enjoy every bite.
To accompany your meal you will have access to the standard fountain drinks. However, that's not all you will have access to. If you want a more upscale beverage you can opt for a glass of wine or a bottle of beer. Iced teas and fresh lemonade are also served.
