One of the most awe inspiring attractions is present in the form of Cheekwood Botanical Gardensin Nashville, Tennessee. You cannot find something more beautiful than this huge 55-acre area designed by Bryant Fleming and constructed by Maxwell House Coffee Fortune.

There is untold beauty here that jumps out in all its glory, represented by beautiful fountains, water ponds and breathtaking hills. Take a journey into the deep history of Tennessee and become a part of the exciting folklore that has enchanted numerous visitors before. You cannot miss the huge assortment of exotic plants such as daffodils, Japanese maples, redbud and hosta among others.

Ten perfect botanical gardens comprise the art museum which is frequented by visitors.

Resembling a garden straight from Padua, Italy is the Burr Terrace Garden, dedicated to Elizabeth Burr. A very well known area in the museum is the Howe Garden that was renovated with the help of funds amounting to a million dollars. A valuable art rain garden has made it an even better spectacle in recent times.

Laid out in the 1920’s, Martin Boxwood Garden envelops the magnificent Cheekwood mansion.

Get a pleasant view of the Tennessee hills while standing right in the middle of Sigourney Cheek Literary Garden which pays tribute to the life journey of Sigourney Cheek. Exciting flowerbeds along with blossoms that come to life according to the seasonal changes are the highlight of the Robert Ellis Color Garden. Another garden that enhances its beauty based on various seasons is the Turner Seasons garden.

Meditate and relax as you distress from the hustle and bustle of city life, and feel the serenity at the Japanese garden. Small bodies of water that resemble actual ponds seen in the countryside are found at the Robinson Water Garden. See herbal plants grow in this beautiful city in the Herb Study Garden. Cornus plants are grown in the shade of oak trees right in the middle of the famous Carell Dogwood Garden. The Cheekwood museum is certainly worth a try even though the scenic beauty of the gardens may fill your heart to the brim.

With all the attractions Nashville has to offer, communing with nature amidst the bustling city is not so hard to do after all.
