Once considered a rough part of town, East Nashville is continuing to transform into a fabulous place to live, work, and play. And that’s something that developers are certainly taking notice of. Back in May, a new mixed-used development was proposed that would bring additional office, retail, and restaurant space to the neighborhood, and earliest this week, permits for the project were finally issued.
Called The Wabash, this dynamic new project will be located at 901 Woodlands Street, include around 41,200 square feet of space, and hopefully pave the way for more development to make its way to the East Nashville neighborhood, which offers a whole lot of value right now on both the residential and commercial side of the market.
For home buyers in Nashville looking for a new place to live, East Nashville is one of the few locations left in town where single-family homes are affordable on nearly any budget, but don’t expect that to last. As more people continue to move to Nashville and home prices continue to rise, East Nashville and other up-and-coming neighborhoods are among the first places out-of-town buyers consider, ultimately hoping to buy low and eventually sell high.
And with more commercial projects like The Wabash also making their way to East Nashville, it's quickly becoming a location that more home buyers are choosing when looking for a place that's close to work.
