Restaurant

The Gulch gained a new restaurant this past November and residents are excited. Chauhan Ale and Massala House opened in Gulch on November 18th thanks to executive chef and co-owner Maneet Chauhan. After visiting Nashville and falling in love with the people and city, Chauhan decided to open his restaurant here. It’s an Indian restaurant that has beautiful popping colors and brick to give it a contemporary feel. Here is a look at the new restaurant in Gulch of Nashville.

Interior

Inside you’ll notice the beautiful and elaborate Indian patterns and décor. It’s a bar-like feel with Indian colors. There is plenty of seating options with tables, booths and high bar stools in the bar. Eventually they’ll add a lounge with style, comfortable furniture. Tables are going to become a traditional Indian game that is played while eating called Carrom.

Menu

The restaurant is unique in offering typical Indian cuisine with some Southern influence. You’ll notice conventional Indian food mixed with this Southern inspiration from cuisine like hot chicken, seafood, lamp and vegetarian selections. While you eat, enjoy custom Indian spice-infused microbrews and craft beers.

Their menu will change daily and seasonally but offer a few regular, permanent selections. For appetizers, try the curried scallops, kale pakora chaat or heirloom roasted beet salad. You’ll love their kababs and bread options, signature options like hyderabadi ribeye, guava glazed bbq rips and chili paneer bhurjee relleno. Try one of their signature drinks like the Rye Humour containing Wild Turkey Rye, cardamaro, orange bitters, Licor 43, old fashioned bitters and clove.

Additional Information

The restaurant is available for private events and catering. You can submit your information online or call to make arrangements. You can also make dinner reservations online for any night of the week.

The restaurant is open for dinner at 123 12th Avenue North in the Gulch. Eventually they will be adding lunch service as well.

You won’t want to miss this new dining experience in Gulch.
