Nashville is excited to announce the opening of a new concert venue and winery coming soon. City Winery is coming to the area to act as a concert hall, restaurant and winery. It will be placed in a former Sobro warehouse, which is about 30,000 square feet in size. It’s the area’s most anticipated venue to open this fall.
The concert hall is going to seat around 300 people. It’s also going to have the capacity to hold a restaurant inside, as well as a fully functioning winery. The winery is going to be at 609 Lafayette Street, which is just south of the Music City Center.
City Winery is already open in other cities, so they are already known for booking diverse and well-respected performers. They are also known for offering a delicious and wonderful dining experience.
The vision of the winery is to bring urban wine enthusiasts together to bond with like-minded people over a quality bottle of wine, while dining on a freshly-made meal and listening to their favorite artist.
The grand opening is planned for October 1st. They actually already had a soft opening on the 17th of September in order to get the party started.
The Americana Music Festival planned to host their awards event VIP party during the grand opening date and a full calendar of shows will start. The schedule is already full for the most of the rest of 2014 including acts such as:
- Steve Nieve Plays Elvis Costello: Piano Solo reinterpretations of the best Elvis songs including special guest Tall Ulysse on September 27th
- Dr. Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys on October 13th-14th
- Macy Gray on October 20th
- Sinead O’Connor – I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss on November 14th-15th
- Rhett Miller on November 23rd
- Sonny Landreth and Cindy Cashdollar on December 7th
Nashville is gaining a real gem with the City Winery opening this fall.
