Southern Land Company -- a national developer specializing in designing and building single-family, commercial, retail, and multi-family communities – has constructed some of Nashville’s finest developments. With more than twenty years of experience within the real estate industry, this organization has played a major role in urbanization across the U.S., managing to erect some of the most dynamic neighborhoods to date.
Southern Land has recently announced plans to build a 14-storey mixed-use apartment development in Green Hills. The upscale project is slated for erection in 2013 at the intersection of Richard Jones Road and Hillsboro Road, which is a location that observers believe will serve as a substantial attraction to future tenants.
Representatives of the developer say that the project will contain a total of 265 apartment units, as well as 5,000 square feet of restaurant space at the building’s ground floor. In addition to structured parking, the soon-to-rise building will also encompass 24,000 square feet of commercial space.
Units for rent feature various floor plans, thereby allowing the development to cater for singles, couples and families. The size of units are quite spacious as well, featuring floor areas which span anywhere from 500 to 2000 square feet. Moreover, future inhabitants will be given exclusive access to an array of premier amenities, such as a state-of-the-art workout center, a clubroom, rooftop pool, and concierge services.
"Careful attention has been given to all design aspects," says Tim Downey, CEO of Southern Land. "We've been working closely with the city of Nashville to ensure that our plan adheres to the Green Hills urban design overlay. Our objective is to deliver a project that meets the goals and direction previously established for the neighborhood."
"Our previous experience has shown us the right way to design and build a mixed-use community that compliments a distinct urban environment, while also adding long-term value," says Michael McNally, Southern Land's current vice president of mixed-use development. "We look forward to our prospects moving forward."
Enlisting the help of notable architects and interior decorators, the aesthetics of this structure is believed by many to be nothing less than magnificent upon its completion. Leasing for residential and commercial spaces will commence as early as spring in 2015.
Southern Land Co. is currently working on two other mixed-use projects in Nashville, namely: Eliston 23 at Rock Block neighborhood, and the second phase of Dwell at McEwen in Cool Springs.
