Where Are the Best Rodeos in Nashville? With the start of the summer season, people across Tennessee will soon have a chance to attend their favorite rodeos in Nashville. These rodeos give everyone a chance to see up and coming stars show off their skills in the arena. Guests can watch people attempt to achieve their personal best scores, and the win, riding bucking bulls and broncos—and that's just the start. Here are the top four Nashville rodeos people can attend across the region.

Franklin Rodeo

For the 70th year running, the Franklin Rodeo once again comes to life with fun events for the whole family to enjoy. Each year, this rodeo treats everyone to three full days of pro events and exciting activities. The events pros can participate in includes:

  • Barrel racing
  • Bull riding
  • Bareback riding
  • Steer wrestling
  • Team roping

Attendees will also have many chances to participate in the activities. Adults can do the pony hop, while kids can sign up for Mutton Bustin' and the Calf Scramble.

In between activities, guests can treat themselves to refreshments. Vendors will come from far and wide to sell attendees food, beverages and other goods. Alternatively, guests can head over to the VIP corral for food and drinks before watching the action.

Lonestar Rodeo

Attending the Lonestar Rodeo always makes for a great time. This rodeo in Nashville comes around yearly to delight the crowds with awesome events. Guests can watch their rodeo favorites barrel race, ride the bulls and rope calves. Bucking broncos draw the biggest crowds as they try to predict who will stay on the horse the longest. The rodeo runs across an entire weekend to give everyone enough time to see all their favorites.

Tennessee High School Rodeo Association Finals

At the Tennessee High School Rodeo Association Finals each June, the kids show the professionals how it is done. High school students from all over the state participate in rodeo events of all kinds. They ride bulls and broncos like the best of them, hoping to secure the win and recognition in the sport. They have many timed events on display, including their popular barrel racing events.

Kids in attendance can try their hand at roping and riding at the stick horse event. They can also use their same sturdy stick horse to race the other kids for fun prizes, including cash. Attendees often make a full weekend of this event to see all that this Nashville rodeo has to offer.

PBR Professional Bull Riders Rodeo

As a part of their regular yearly tour, the PBR Professional Bull Riders Rodeo will hit Nashville as one of its stops. With hundreds of hopeful cowboys participating, and the event televised across the nation, the competition is fierce across all events. Cowboys and cowgirls can strut their stuff while riding bulls, broncos and more. Many awards are given out to sweeten the pot, though achievement and recognition is often the goal.

As these rodeos ride through town, people from all around will have the chance to see their favorite events in person. Each event offers a new perspective on the sport, so it just makes sense to attend them all.
