Unlike some other parts of the United States, such as Dallas or New York and most famously Beverly Hills the high end luxury real estate market tends to hover around the $3M to $5M mark.

These home are often described as estate homes and typically they are found on a minimum of 5 acres or in exclusive gated communities. Nashville itself does tend to have homes in that price range with slightly less acreage in the slightly older areas of Nashville such as Belle Meade, Green Hills, West End etc.

Nashville TN Luxury Homes

Brentwood TN Luxury Homes

The next area that is recognised as being  a location that attarcts theupscale affluent home owner is Brentwood. Using this link you'll see that there are actually much fewer homes available in the $3-5 million dollar range. Brentwood tends to have more homes in the slightly lower price range of $1-3. Franklin TN Luxury Homes

Franklin TN in Williamson county perhaps best fits the perception of an estate home set amongst the rolling hills of Tennessee with lots of acreage and equestrian facilities. You can see from this link that there almost as many homes in the $3-5M price range as there are in Nashville but they all have a little more acreage. Hendersonville and Gallatin TN Luxury Homes

These two Nashville area cities have the distiction of being situated on Old Hickory Lake and as such have some of the most spectacular lake homes for sale as well as homes sitting on quite a few acres. In the $1-3M price range you can see here that there is a good selection between equestrian property and lake homes. Once you move to the high end luxury properties listed in Hendersonville and Gallatin the choice is reduced significantly. This link will show you what's available for the high end property buyers.

Lake Homes

Old Hickory lake does include parts of Nashville but the primary lake front communities and property are to be found in Hendersonville, Gallatin, Mt Juliet and Lebanon. This link will show you all the homes for sale over $1 million dollars on the Lake in the Nashville area.  As of 7/30/2010 the most expensive home on the lake is listed for sale at $9.5M

As you can see there is a good supply of luxury homes for sale in the Nashville area wether you want to be part of the more estatblished communities in Belle Meade, Forrest Hills, Green Hills etc actually with the Nashville city limits or move a little further out to Brentwood, Franklin, Hendersonville or Gallatin, there is going to be plenty of choices for. Equestrian to state of the art technology homes or laid back and relaxed lake homes...Nashville Tennessee has it all!
